Leslie Ernest Johnson, Jr.
February 22, 1930 - February 14, 2015

Mr. Leslie Ernest Johnson, Jr., 84, of Branson West, MO, formerly of Bruceton, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, at Roaring Rivers Health and Rehab in Cassville, MO. Services were conducted today (Wednesday, Feb. 25) at 1 p.m. at Bruceton First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Steve Whitwhorth officiated. Bruceton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Johnson was born on Feb. 22, 1930, in Huntingdon, to the late Leslie E. Johnson, Sr. and Mrs. Marguerite Ann Clark Johnson. He was a retired Air Force Major Air Commander. He was also a graduate of Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School in 1948 and of Memphis State with a B.S. Degree. He entered the Air Force shortly after where he remained for over 20 years. He was a
Command Pilot and received three Disquisted Fying Crosses, Meritous Service Metal, an Air Metal with five Oak Leaf Cluster and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm. He was a 32 Degree Mason and member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Bobbye Jean Mathis Johnson of Branson West, MO; two sons, Leslie Ernest (Mary) Johnson, III of OK and K.C. Johnson of VA; two grandchildren, Rachel Jean Johnson and Emily Kate
Johnson; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Christine Wright of Bruceton. [Source: Carroll County News Leader]
