Peggy Inez Garvey Shawl, 88, died Sunday evening, May 6, at her Brentwood home surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in Lexington, Tennessee, and moved to Bruceton, Tennessee, as a child and lived there until her marriage to Andrew C. Shawl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ike; parents; brothers; sisters; and longtime companion, Kelton Herndon, of Gallatin.
She is survived by her two sons, Andrew Timothy Shawl (Lori) and Daniel T. Shawl (Pam); three grandchildren, Wyeth, Shelly and Steve; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
