Opal Burnice Glosson Thompson
March 28, 1930 - May 30, 2001

Opal Thompson, 71, NEW JOHNSONVILLE Services for Opal Burnice Thompson, 71, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Oakdale Chapel. Burial will be in the Cowell's Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson, a store manager, died Wednesday at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville of heart disease.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tilford Thompson; and two brothers, Nolan and Alvis Glosson.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Linda Moore, Cathy Rodgers, Terry Thompson and Lloyd Thompson, all of New Johnsonville; six sisters, Beatrice Underwood, June Chapman, Shirley Martin, all of Hollow Rock, Chessie Wardlow of Camden, Shelby Herring of Little Rock, Ark., Lou Ellen Holley of Wetumpka, Ala., and Mary Francis Taylor of North Carolina; and two brothers, Jerry Glosson of Hollow Rock and Charles Glosson of Yuma.
