Floyd Edward Cary

A memorial service for Floyd Edward Cary, of Fairhope, Ala., formerly of Yuma, age 77, will be held Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. at Farmville Cemetery in Yuma, where he has been laid to rest. Chase Funeral Home of Huntingdon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cary passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope. He was born Aug. 8, 1931 in Yuma to the late Adrian and Lois Cary. He owned and operated a trucking company, served in the U.S. Air Force, was an industrial engineer, a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #731 F&AM, in Bruceton and was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fairhope.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley M. Cary and Mr. and Mrs. Sid Hatch, and an infant son, Adrian Cary.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Cary, of Fairhope; three daughters, Lynn Cary, of Fairhope, Kimberly Barnes and Kathryn (Terry) Crawley, of Mobile, Ala; four stepchildren, Kathy (John) Estadt, of Germantown, Jan (Steve) Johnson, of Emmaus, Pa., Steve (Peggy) Whipple, of Columbia, Mo. and Diane (Mark) Kroplin, of W. Milton, Ohio; two sisters, Willodean (Hugh) Thomas, of Bruceton and Jane (Wayne) Hall, of Camden; a brother, Wesley (Becky) Cary, of Holladay; three grandchildren, Victoria, Philip and Pricilla, all of Mobile; and nine step-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Farmville Cemetery Association, Box 53, Yuma, TN 38390.
