Melvin Euin Cobb
November 9, 1930 - March 37, 2011

Aiken, SC - Melvin Euin Cobb, age 80, passed away on March 27, 2011 in his home, peacefully and ready to enter into his next life.

Visitation will be held at Shellhouse-River Funeral Home in Aiken SC on the evening of March 29, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at New Covenant Praise Church in Aiken on Wire Rd the afternoon of March 30, 2011, begining at 2p.m. Pastor Terry Butler officiating. Graveside services will be held in Neeses SC at Mt Beaulah Penticostal Holiness Church.

Mr. Cobb was born November 9, 1930 in Hollow Rock TN. He graduated from Hollow Rock High School. A skilled union millwright his entire life, he began his apprentiship in Memphis in 1950 and retired from the Savanah River Site in 1990. A devout and lifelong Christian, he loved sharing his love of God with everyone who would listen. A desire so strong that he founded the Interdenominational Home Missions in the 1970's and through it sent tracts to countless thousands through the decades that followed. He was a lifetime member of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship International. He earned a private pilot's lisense in 1970, and many years later did volunteer work with the Civil Air Patrol. He also did volunteer work for WBPI-TV49 (a Christian TV station in North Augusta SC). A lifelong motorcyclist, he was a member of the Christian Mortorcyclists Association whose motto is that they are "Riding for the Son." His hobbies included: ham radio, electronics, photography, computers, camping, motorcycling, and flying his airplane.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jewel Caroline Cobb, his five loving children, Stephen Euin Cobb, Jeffery Thomas Cobb, Frances Carol Workman, Phyllis Kay George, Peggy Sue Gregory, his nine loving grandchildren, Melonie Jewel Crawford, William Ray George III, Kenneth Phillip Doyle, Tanisha Rae George, Luther Joseph Doyle, Joshua David Baird, Melvin Timothy Baughman II, Aliese Marie Gregory, Amber Caroline Gregory; and four great-grandchildren, Cassidy Jewel Lukoff, Sonya Marie Baird, Laylah Saffron Baird, Nadia Lenore Baird.
