Mrs. Minnie Lou (Allen) Cooper
August 8, 1941 - November 29, 2006
Mrs. Minnie Lou (Allen) Cooper, 65 of Hollow Rock, passed away Tuesday, November 21, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, November 22, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment followed in the he Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock. Bro. Steve Davis officiated the service. Pallbearers who served were Jimmy Rogers, Jim Simpson, Bill Cooper, Mike Cooper, Tim Futrell and Daniel Allen.
Mrs. Cooper was born August 8, 1941, in Carroll County to the late Myrtle Vallie Allen and Eula Kate (Williams) Allen. She was a retired factory worker for Henry I. Seigel Company, served on the courts in Carroll County from 1978-1986, was the first woman on the Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. Cooper, who died January 20, 2005, and two brothers, Nig Allen and Bill Allen. She is survived by one son, Randy (Tracey) Cooper of Camden; one daughter, Susan (Ricky) Montgomery of Lexington; two brothers, Leslie Allen of Hollow Rock and William Allen of New Johnsonville. She also leaves six grandchildren, Ashley Cooper, Amy Cooper, Ben Chandler, Blake Chandler, Allen Montgomery and Anna Montgomery.
